We can't believe it is already the month of November! Time to teach the kids about all things Thanksgiving! Each day we plan on focusing on a different aspect of the Thanksgiving story to help our students really understand what happened. We are going to do this using a combination of the Thanksgiving Smart Board Lesson, video, internet resources and literature. Each page of the Thanksgiving Smart Board Lesson focuses on a different aspect of Thanksgiving starting with the Pilgrims and ending with the First Feast and how we celebrate Thanksgiving today. This is going to guide our lessons for each day. After each lesson, students will make the corresponding page in their I Am Thankful books available at TPT. Some additional activities that are included are comparing how we lived in the Past and the Present and an art lesson looking at two paintings depicting Thanksgiving.
